The testing method, borehole depth, laboratory scope and deliverables are agreed for your site. Specialist test availability is confirmed during the enquiry.

WHY THE GROUND COMES FIRST

The building is visible.
The ground needs
a closer look.

Site conditions help shape foundation choices. A soil investigation gives your project team evidence to work with before committing to the design.

Talk through your project ↗
01

Understand the bearing conditions

Find out what ground information is needed to assess how the proposed structure can be supported.

02

Look beyond the surface

Discuss soil layers, changes in ground conditions and groundwater observations within the investigation scope.

03

Brief your engineer properly

Agree a report that supports the next design stage, with the tests and observations relevant to the project.

Ask about your site ↗
Is this construction soil testing or agricultural soil testing?+

This page is for construction and geotechnical enquiries: foundations, buildings, earthworks and road subgrades. If you need crop fertility or nutrient testing, please confirm suitability with the team before booking.

How much does a soil test cost in Bengaluru?+

The cost depends on the site location, access, number and depth of boreholes, field tests, laboratory tests and report requirements. Share your project details for a quotation with a defined scope.

How many boreholes do I need, and how deep should they be?+

There is no single answer for every plot. The investigation plan should reflect the building loads, site size, ground conditions and your engineer’s brief. Confirm the proposed locations, depth and tests before work starts.

What is the difference between SPT and SBC?+

SPT is a field penetration test used to investigate ground conditions. Soil bearing capacity is a design assessment informed by the investigation and engineering analysis. An SPT result alone is not a complete foundation recommendation.

What will the report include?+

Agree the deliverables in your quotation. Depending on scope, these may include borehole logs, field observations, laboratory results, groundwater observations and geotechnical recommendations for your engineer to review.

How long does the investigation take?+

Fieldwork and reporting depend on site access, drilling depth, testing requirements and laboratory work. Ask for the proposed fieldwork date and report schedule when the scope is confirmed.

Can I use a neighbouring plot’s soil report?+

Ground conditions can change over short distances. Ask your structural or geotechnical engineer whether the available information is suitable and what additional site-specific investigation is needed.

Where are you based?+

SCON Design India Pvt. Ltd. is based in Marathahalli, Bengaluru. Share your site location so the team can confirm coverage, access and arrangements.
